How long does it take to set-up a new account?

Shared hosting accounts are set-up
within 12-24 hours from the time we receive your
order. Once your account is set-up, you will be
emailed your Account Login information (User ID,
Password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs
to help you get started. You can immediately start
uploading files to your new web site.

CentOS 4 Operating
System, using the powerful Apache Web
Server and Apache SSL Server for secure transactions.
Will I have unlimited access to my site for
updates? -

Yes. You have unlimited access via
FTP 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can
create and maintain your web pages on your own
computer and upload files to your web site at your
leisure.
How do I transfer files to my web site?

Files must be transferred to the
web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP).
Internet providers such as AOL, CompuServe, and
Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. If you
need FTP, Telnet, mail, or other Internet software,
visit www.shareware.com. Shareware.com is a source
for the latest Internet applications with ratings and
reviews to help you decide which application is best
suited for your needs. An FTP tutorial is also
available for beginners who may not be familiar with
FTP. Microsoft FrontPage users can "publish" their
sites to our server and should not use FTP.
Do you maintain backups of my data?

daily on redundant hard drives installed on each of
our hosting servers. You also have the option to
backup your web files directly through your control
panel
How can I tell how many visits my web site
gets? -

Included FREE with every account
is Analog Graphical Stats, and the Webilizer stats,
two very powerful tool for graphically tracking
visitors to your site. It provides you statistics on
how long visitors were there, what pages they visited
and the order in which they were visited. With the
advanced logging feature activated it even captures
what browser was being used and how the visitors
found you, whether through a search engine or a web
site link.
Can I upgrade my account?

at any time with no additional fees.

Can I add more disk space to my account?

Yes. You may add additional disk
space to your account by emailing
sales@skyecom.net with your requirements. As
a customer you are charged @ $0.10/1MB, and this must
be purchased in 10MB increments.
What if I exceed my monthly transfer
allowance? -

For traffic usage in excess of
your monthly allowance, you will be billed @ $5/month
for every additional 1GB used.
NOTE: Sometimes domains exceed the bandwidth level
allocated faster than our system can monitor. You
will still be responsible for overage costs in this
case.
Can I access my domain without the "www" in
front? -
Top
Yes. You will be able to access
your domain address with or without the "www" in
front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com]
or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever
you prefer.
Can I subdivide my space and resell it?

No. You may not sub divide your account and
resell it. This isn't allow for several reasons but,
mainly for reasons dealing with resources. Please
contact us if you would like to be a reseller.
Can I host domains in the sub-directory of my
main account?

No. You may park up to 10 domains to your main
account i.e.
www.second-domain.com can point to
www.main-domain.com.
Can I point additional domains to the same
main page as my current domain?
